George - my friend and fellow SF native - and I are Giants fans. And because this bike is orange (Go Giants), I got George back in the saddle and we rode to a game.
My dad didn't ride a bike to the game, but he's awfully fun to drink beers with!
The Giants' ballpark is stunning any time of day, but especially at sunset...
when the moon rises over Splash Landing.
So with the Giants, you win some and you lose some, but on this particular night we kicked butt - 11 to 2!
Crossing fingers for that Wild Card...

Retour à Soi | Return to Self
Jennifer a.k.a. Stitch Diva is my friend from high school. We met back in the day in French II, and after a long silence, we reconnected a few years ago via the interwebz. On Saturday, we biked from SF to Mill Valley for our Tam High Reunion BBQ!
On Jennifer:
Pants: Target
Shirt: Walmart
Sandals: Chaco
Belt: Local Artisans - Namaste Glass
Earrings: From a shop in Little India, Singapore
Glasses: Generics from somewhere
Cardi Wrap: Hairpin Lace multi-functional garment that is hand-crocheted from a pattern at Stitch Diva Studios www.stitchdiva.com
Orange Townie 3i - Loaner bike from KT
On Kristin:
Black bolero wrap sweater: Loehmann's
Fish tank dress: Barcelona
Necklace: Paris
Capri Pants: Loehmann's
Mary Janes: Naot
Shades: found on street
Bike: Le rouge et noir does it again
It was Jennifer's first time biking over the bridge.
We had impromptu good times at the BBQ.
After the BBQ, we sealed the perfect day with a ferry ride back to SF.

Mad Style
I grew up hanging out with advertising executives and creatives in this building.
My dad was the Don Draper of San Francisco. Now my dad is semi-retired and I work directly across from that very building. For decades I felt that I was living in my dad's shadow in this town, until I saw this ad on the building where my dad's rep as THE Ad Man took root.

The Burning Man Cometh
Lots of San Franciscans have already started to make their mass Exodus to the Playa. And their bikes are getting on their burner regalia too. This bike will be a big hit cruising the Esplanade.

Raymond's Ride - Street Art
Meet Raymond.
And check out his custom-built ride!
When I ran into him at the Ferry Plaza, he told me that he spent his youth learning autobody and shop in San Jose. Now he lives in the Tenderloin and rides his collection of his own hand-built, hand twisted two-wheeled works of art around town - the only way he gets the word out.
This Bay Area native and local bike artist has no website, so you have to keep your eyes peeled (and cameras ready) if you want to catch this phenomenal artist of the street as he rolls through town.

from JoJo-4Art - Rotterdam, Holland
from Bigfish in London
from Anglomex - London, England from the Cycle With Style Ride

Local Motion (part 3)
The bike lane was right up against the highway. Yikes.
If I can do Market Street, I can do Honoapiilani Highway. No sweat.
Surfboard racks are all the rage...
for guys and gals!
And so is fishing right off Front Street.
Little local motion!
