Geez... the Australian could have at least put that silly hat on the handlebars. We (Australians) are so indoctrinated on the miraculous properties of the bicycle helmet that she was probably afraid her head might explode if she took it off within the vicinity of a bicycle... sad.
Lovely photos though.
Nothing wrong if a guy or gal feels safer wearing a helmet. I do every once in a while! Plus with so many fashionable helmets out there these days, a pretty helmet is becoming part of the whole bike style look.

I cannot get enough of that woman in the 3rd picture from the top! Seen so many pictures of her in that outfit now and she's just so splendid!

@Paul, or perhaps, she was just about to head off for drinks with friends, and her partner quickly took a pic of her - which was in fact the case.
